We have been going to Meadowbrook since 2000. They keep adding things — Just like someone would do to their own home or cottage. Meadowbrook is unique. We are extremely busy people – when we go on vacation – we want a quiet place for our family. Not the normal business motel/hotel or travel lodge. A place to rejuvenate—to renew the soul—that is what Meadowbrook does. It is a quite place. I love sitting on the porch outside our room, seeing the wildlife, listening to the birds and frogs. We are involved in teaching our children about nature and the wetlands that are being created are fantastic. We normally stay in the Ponderosa and love it. We have had the opportunity to stay at many hotels/motels and have never found any as clean as Meadowbrook. That means a lot to us. Meadowbrook is off the beaten track. We can take our children (ages 7 to 24) and go do all the “Dells stuff” and then come back and relax. We have stayed in the motels/hotels in town – but when I walk into one of those rooms – I feel trapped. And you can’t get away from all the activity. At a Meadowbrook campfire in 2000 my son became interested in being a Cub Scout. Another scout there was whittling – and now we come prepared with pocket knives to create our own marshmallow toasters. All I can say is if you are looking for a unique and peaceful place – this is it.
